Over the past 17 years of doing hair, I have noticed a huge increase in the amount of people who are adding colour to their cuts. For me, it’s completing a transformation. Letting the stylist have some artistic expression on what is being done. Although there are those clients who have that beautiful natural colour, with the vast amount of choices out there, and the great improvements in the quality of colour, why not try it? You can have colour that lasts 2 weeks, 4 weeks, or is permanent. Hi-lites. Low-lites. Block colouring. Panels. Slices. Weaves. Baliage. The sky is the limit. And who better to do this for you than a professional stylist. You wouldn’t attempt to fix your car yourself, would you? So “quit your bitchin’, if you did it in your kitchen. Home colour is not the safest thing to do. Love you. Love your hair. If you don’t look good, we don’t look good.

Wedding Season is Upon Us

With summertime just around the corner, many brides are reserving their appointments(if they haven’t already) with their loyal stylists. If I could speak directly to the brides out there, word to the wise;Bring pictures.A picture is worth a thousand words. Bring pictures of your wedding dress. Better yet, bring your dress. Your veil should be there as well. Communicate the look and image you are trying to convey. Together, we will make this day a very special one.

Just Bobbing Around

It seems like the deconstructed bob is going strong for yet another season. Not quite as tight In the back as in previous years, yet still remeniscent of graduated bobs of the past. Evolving into more textured, dimensional silhouettes with cooler tones for a more modern, futuristic look.
