I was walking in the mall today with my family and couldn’t help but notice that the 15-25 year old crowd were sporting haircuts reminiscent of the late 70s and early 80s. Chrissy Hynde and Joan Jett come to mind. I’m just wondering if this is the next trend coming to fruition in the cycle of everything old is new again?!?!
Some people make fun of me for liking the 80s so much, but it’s the one decade when you look at hairstyles, they were not brought back from decades past. It was a decade of change and newness and the crazier the better. Hair in the 80s defied gravity and led to the phrase “the higher the hair, the closer to God”. Let’s just hope that we are heading back in the direction of originality and change. Let’s take the Chrissy Hynde haircut and make it different and make it our own.
